Program Expectations

Program Expectations

What are your programme expectations?

U-ACT is excited and grateful to be part of your recovery and wellness process. As coaches we are committed to supporting you in achieving your personal recovery and wellness goals. As part of this process we invite you to think about what recovery means to you and your reasons for enrolling in this programme.

Keeping a journal can be a strong anchoring practice as you attend the group sessions, work through the course material and connect with your personal recovery coach.

There are no right and wrong ways to engage in a recovery programme, and we invite you to be conscious of understanding what works for you as you complete the course. Approaching the process with curiosity, openness, acceptance and self-love is an empowering way to engage in the work. Since recovery is a process you will feel shifts and changes, and if you are feeling unsettled or uncertain, please share this with the group or with your assigned coach. We are here to support, guide, challenge and coach you so that you gain as much as you can from the programme.

Take a few minutes to write down a few points around what you are expecting from the programme in your journal.

Think about these ideas:

  1. What are you hoping to gain personally from the programme?
  2. What are you hoping to gain professionally from the programme?
  3. How are you feeling at the beginning of the programme?
  4. What are you excited about?
  5. What are you anxious about?
  6. What is your personal definition of recovery?
